Photography is a way of capturing a moment, of stopping time. Whether it is flowers at various stages of their life cycle, insects doing what insects do, or birds in flight and at rest, nature is a constant source of awe and wonder. Photography allows us to breathe in that wonder in detail. The passage of time ages things - both in nature and the things we have created. Stopping time through photography also allows us to hold on to the past, to learn from it, and to rediscover it.
